ABOUT US

Leaders Roofing was founded on faith, hard work, and the belief that opportunity carries responsibility.

Our story begins in Chicago with Jan Koszyk, a first-generation Polish immigrant who came to the United States in search of honest work and a better future for his family. Like many immigrants before him, he credits his success not to luck, but to God’s blessings — and to the opportunities and obligations inherent in the American Dream.

Roofing was never easy work. It meant long days, physical labor, and learning the business from the ground up. Jan started on job sites, in the elements, earning trust one project at a time. Over the years, that experience shaped a simple philosophy: do the job right, treat people fairly, and stand behind your work.

BUILDING SOMETHING WORTH STANDING BEHIND

Leaders Roofing was built with the understanding that responsibility comes before growth.

Starting a roofing company meant taking ownership — of every decision, every crew, and every outcome. There was no room for cutting corners or passing blame. The work demanded consistency, discipline, and a standard that held up whether someone was watching or not.

From the beginning, the focus was on building a company we could stand behind. One where quality mattered, promises meant something, and the work reflected pride in the craft. That standard still defines how we operate today — from how we train our crews to how we handle problems when they arise.

Reputation, in this business, isn’t built through marketing. It’s built through accountability.

BUILDING ON THIRTY YEARS OF TRUST

Founded in 1996, Leaders Roofing has spent more than three decades serving homeowners and businesses across the Chicagoland area.

While roofing is work we do every day, we understand that for our customers — whether a homeowner protecting their largest investment or a business owner responsible for operations and tenants — roofing decisions are significant, disruptive, and often stressful. The uncertainty surrounding timelines, costs, and outcomes can be just as challenging as the work itself.

Our experience allows us to bring clarity and confidence to that process. We know what to expect, how to plan for it, and how to communicate it clearly. That experience informs how we continue to serve our customers today — with consistent craftsmanship, clear communication, and a steady, organized approach from the first conversation to the final walkthrough.

Much of our work continues to come through referrals — neighbors recommending neighbors and businesses referring trusted partners — a reflection of relationships built through consistency and follow-through since 1996.

Our focus remains simple: show up prepared, do the work the right way, and stand behind it. That commitment is what has carried Leaders Roofing for more than thirty years, and it’s what continues to guide how we serve the Chicagoland market today.

ORA ET LABORA

Ora et labora is a Latin phrase meaning “pray and work.”

It reflects a belief deeply rooted in our family and in this company: that work is not separate from a good life, but one of the ways a good life is lived.

Prayer orders the heart.

Work orders the day.

When done with humility, discipline, and care, honest work becomes a form of service — to customers, to employees, to family, and to the community. Roofing demands preparation, endurance, and responsibility. You cannot rush it, and you cannot fake it. How the work is done matters.

Ora et labora is not a slogan for us. It’s how our family was raised, how Leaders Roofing was built, and how we continue to serve — one roof, one relationship, and one honest day of work at a time.
